Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Recipe

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup sugar

- 6 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped Oreos
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt.
- Split the vanilla bean in half lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add them to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Whisk the egg yolks together in a medium bowl. Slowly whisk in about 1 cup of the hot cream mixture. Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan and whisk to combine.
- Cook the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large bowl.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and Oreos. Chill the mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator.
- Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Recipe - No Churn
If you don't have an ice cream maker, don't worry - you can still make delicious ice cream at home.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped Oreos
Instructions:
- Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the sweetened condensed milk mixture.
- Fold in the chopped Oreos.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or other freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
- Scoop and enjoy!
