I don't know about you, but I absolutely love finding new recipes to try out in the kitchen. And lucky for me (and you!), I happened upon some amazing recipe templates on Pinterest that I just had to share. And what better way to share them than with some step-by-step instructions and mouth-watering photos?
Grilled Lemon-Herb Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Clean and pat dry chicken.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, basil, rosemary, thyme, lemon zest and juice.
- Rub herb mixture all over the chicken, both on the outside and under the skin.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place chicken on grill, breast-side down.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken over and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Lower heat to medium and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 165°F, about 30-40 minutes more.
- Remove chicken from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before carving and serving.
Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Mix in flour mixture until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop dough onto sheet in 1-inch balls.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool on sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
